Road Signs
03:35
|
|||
When I woke, it wasn't for a long time
So when I spoke, there wasn't even sunlight in my eyes,
Your voice beat out the early mornin' sky.
As I lay, I long for you beside me
But you won't stay, so isolation rides me all the way,
On a trip 'til we can spend another day.
Well it's been a long time,
Since I've been a long time down this way.
And your eyes, my road signs,
Keep, keep me, keepin' on this way.
Might I say,
When I woke, and saw you laying near me,
Knew I'd feel broke, if suddenly you leave me,
Baby I pray,
To replicate this feelin' everyday.
Well it's been a long time,
Since I've been a long time down this way.
And your eyes, my road signs,
Keep, keep me, keepin' on this way.
Might I say
When I woke.

Sunlight Receivers
04:05
|

What I’ve been given
‘Aint what I’ve earned,
I get to walk up a street with strangers,
Without raising concern.
Been given fuel for ambition,
Man that aint stopping soon,
Told I had one way ticket to somewhere,
I could stop at the moon.
So who’s on the look out,
Who’s writing the book now,
Of who gets the warmth of the sun.
It’s getting abrupt now,
Been faced with the know how,
of ripples of damage been done.
Well who’s on the look out,
Lets not get stuck in this book now,
‘Cause the climax ain’t good but it’s close.
Can’t run from the truth now,
It’s slapping our face down,
cause the sunlight receivers exposed
It’s getting real warm now,
Don’t think I need this free heat,
Lets, let the sun shine down on all who been fixed to cold streets.
And in my dark evenings,
When all is getting low,
That sun don’t shine
But the dreams do carry for those with glow
Never did I think about who don’t have, what I do.
Though we all lived under one big roof.
But time has told a story in a different way,
Seems I been exposed to some brighter days, than those of other ways.
So who’s on the look out,
Who’s writing the book now,
Of who gets the warmth of the sun.
It’s getting abrupt now,
Been faced with the know how,
of ripples of damage been done.

Balloon Ride
04:34
|
|||
Oh just come with me,
I’ll grab balloons and you grab at my feet,
And we’ll sail away,
Take you from your one horse town.
You know what’s doggin’ me?
How if you’d take a chance on this big city,
I believe you’d see
It won’t hit you callously
And when I’m there with you,
You won’t let me go.
But when I take you by the hand,
Lips starting spelling no.
So I’ll return in while,
And all that while, I will paint your smile,
On these busy streets,
And think, oh what a masterpiece.
This is the world that I chose,
Would please comeback from those old town roads,
And wave goodbye,
Come on darlin’ give it a try
And when I’m there with you,
You won’t let me go.
But when I take you by the hand,
Lips starting spelling no.

Hide & Seek
03:42
|
|||
Good lord,
I do find, when I fall
I have a tendency,
I have a tendency,
To stay down,
Until I find you,
But where can I find you now.
I look deep inside my pride,
I don’t even know why,
Well it seems, my pride is hiding soon,
So down’s where I’ll stay,
‘til this hide and seek is through.
Darlin, I don’t know what time it is,
I can hardly see the light,
Move on over and let me in,
Baby I’m losing my mind.

Tour Guide
03:58
|
|||
Oh won’t you be my tour guide,
Take me somewhere I don’t know,
This routine is killing me,
I’m ready to implode,
Please take me soon,
This day-to-day is getting old.
Oh won’t you be my tour guide,
Got to dust these walking shoes,
Been away for a while now,
They’re dying to be used,
They’re a little bit worn,
But will present as good as new.
Oh take me somewhere that I want to go,
To the hills of Mississippi maybe New Mexico.
Go to Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Ohio.
Oh take me somewhere that I want to go.
Oh wont you be my tour guide,
Won’t you take me by the hand,
Lead me through the river,
Lead me across the land,
Please take me somewhere that I will understand.
Oh won’t you be my tour guide,
Got to dust these walking shoes,
Been away for a while now,
They’re dying to be used,
They’re a little bit worn,
But will present as good as new.
Oh take me somewhere that I want to go,
Go to Oklahoma take a plane to Tokyo,
Go to New York City Eat-potato-Idaho,
Oh take me somewhere that I want to go.
Oh take me somewhere that I want to go.
Oh won’t you be my tour guide,
Take me to Alabama,
Take me to Claifornia,
I want to go to Colorado,
Take me to the cross-roads,
Oh won’t you be my Tour Guide

Always, Sometimes, Never
03:41
|
|||
Always, Sometimes, Never.
Always be with me
Always do feel me
Always believe me
Always complete me.
Sometimes do fight me
Sometimes make right of me.
Sometimes rewind me
Sometimes sometimes just hide me
Never, ever leave me.
And where I walk,
I will walk with you,
No matter the route,
They always lead to you,
I have placed all me I’s with we,
So don’t ever, my dear,
Don’t ever, ever, leave me.
Sometimes misguide me.
Sometimes confide just in me
Always do hear me,
You’ll always complete me.
Don’t you ever, ever, leave me.
